We will explore the concept of Stupa in Jainism and the legendary relationship dating back to the time of Tirthankar Suparshwanath. Dr. Porwal will take us through the Jain Stupa at Mathura, with an archaeological history dating back to the 2nd century B.C. She will also explain us about the Ayagapatas, iconography of Shalabhanjikas and sculptures related to the life of Tirthankar Mahavir at Kankali Tila, Mathura.
