Shravanabelagola, 8th December 2019: The title “Siddantha Chintamani” was presented to His Holiness SwastiSri Charukeerthi Bhattarakha Swamiji, the pontiff of Shravanabelagola Jain Math on the occasion of his 50th year of Deeksha (initiation to monkhood) celebrations held at Chavundaraya Mantapa in the premises of Jain Math at Shravanabelagola by all the Bhattarakaha Swamijis of Digambar Jain Maths.
Speaking on the occasion His Holiness SwastiSri Dhavalakeerthi Bhattarakha Swamiji of Arihantagiri Jain Math said that “One can renounce in life only by following the religious path. If the monasteries are like school the pontiffs are like teachers. It is through the guidance of these pontiffs that we will be able to proceed on the right track. However, we see a lot of differences in society these days. These differences are uncalled for and we request the society to go on the right track by seeking the guidance of pontiffs”.
Speaking on the occasion His Holiness Jagadguru SwastiSri Dr. Devendrakeerthi Bhattarakha Swamiji of Hombuja Jain Math said that “Sri Charukeerthi Swamiji played a pivotal role in the success of the 4 Mahamasthakabhishekas of Lord Bahubali at Shravanabelagola. He has been instrumental in organizing the International Prakrit Conference, National Vidwat Conference, All India Kannada Conference, all India Jain Youth Conference and many other conferences”. “The credit of taking Prakrit to international level goes to His Holiness Swamiji” he opined.
