History – The idol of Bhagawan Shanthinatha was installed in the year 1902 of the vikrama era. There is a story associated with the installation of this idol. It runs as follows, during its installation in the 1990 that it was found difficult to take the idol inside the temple due to the narrow entrance. But the Bhattarak Hemchandra got a dream that the idol would be installed with out any human effort and in the morning the idol was seen installed in the sanctum santorum. We can also find the idols of Bhagwan Ajitnatha (about 32 inches high black stone) in padmasana posture installed in vikram 1712- bhagwan Padamprabha ( about one feet high white coloured idol in the padamasana) installed in vikrama 1828- Bhagwan Chandraprabha(about 16 inches high black coloured idol) in padamasana installed in vikrama 1659- Bhagwan Vasupujya (about 28 inches high idol made of black stone) installed in vikram 1929.
How to Reach – Bamottar is a village situated at a distance of 5 kms to the north of Partapgarh from the Partapgarh-Choti Sadri-hittorgarh road in Chittorgarh District. Partapgarh is 32 Kms from Mandsaur railway station.
