Kalikund

History – The idol of Bhagwan Parshwanatha is said to be miraculous. There is a story depicting the miracle of this idol which runs as follows, it is said that king Satyeshwara had fell ill and all efforts to cure his illness failed. Finally queen Padmashri carved this idol of Bhagwan Parshwanatha and worshipped the idol this resulted in the faster recovery of the kings illness. So as a mark of his respect the king built a temple with this idol as the main deity. The village from where the ‘dahi’ (curd) used to come for Abhisek of the idol is known as ‘Dehri’- the village from where ‘doodh’ (milk) used to come is known as Dudhari- from where ‘fal’(fruits) came is known as falas and from where the Kumbh(coconut) used to come is still known as kumbhar. These villages are situated near this place. There is a cave at a distance of about 2 Kms from the village on a hill. Here the idols of Bhagwan Parshwanatha and Devi Padmavathi can be found. This hill is called Jhari Parshwanatha because the water keeps pouring on the idols from the natural source. On the other hill at a distance of 4 Kms from Jhari Parshwanatha about 38 inches high black coloured idol of Bhagawan Parshwanatha is installed.
