    Temple Name – Sri Adinatha Jain Temple.

    Temple Type – Digambar Jain Temple

    Main Deity – A Black colored idol of Bhagwan Adinatha in the semi padmasana posture.

    Temple History – The idol of bhagwan Adinatha found here is said have been installed by Bharat Chakravarthi. He installed the idols of the 24 tirthankaras on the Astapada hills. One of these idols was made of the sapphire that is the idol of Bhagawan Adinatha. The idol of bhagwan Adinatha here is also called as ‘Manekya Swami’. King Ravan got it by worshipping the deities. It was worshipped in Lanka for many years. It is said that after the fall of Lanka, the deities kept it well protected in the sea. There is a mention of this place and Manikyaswami in a stone inscription of the year 1333  There is a mention that in the years 1481 and 1767 of the Vikram era, the temple was renovated by Shri Jain Svetambar Sangha with the help of the son of Aurangzeb and this idol was installed. Here, there is also a sapphire colored, smiling, idol of Bhagawan Mahavir Swami. The musical notes are heard from the idols.
