Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh), 11th March 2019: The ritual of Pran Pratista was performed by the Jain society at Sri Sambhavnath Bhagawan temple in the city on Sunday. The pran pratista was held at the renovated Sri Sambhavnath temple located in Marwari temple street and also to the newly constructed Sri Sambhavnath Bhagawan temple in Vatturivari street of old city. The ritual was commenced in the wee hours of Sunday under the guidance of Jain Acharya Sri Vijay Ajit Sekhar Sooriswarji and other jain monks. Later, the flag on Dhwaj Stamb was hoisted and special prayers were performed. The jain devotees chanted ‘Om punyaham’, ‘Om Sriyantam’ hyms and other hymns from Jain religious texts.
Huge number of devotees thronged the two temples to have a glimpse of the God Sri Sambhavnath. The President Mohanlal Golecha, Secretary Pannalal Devichand of Sri Sambhavnath Jain Swetambar Murty Pujak Sangh thanked the members of the Jain society for their support to complete the 10 days pratista mahotsav.
