Exciting Discoveries: Unveiling New Inscriptions
- Published 6 previously unknown inscriptions on the website
- Dr. Ravikumar K Navalagunda’s 2 inscriptions from Shivamogga and Dharwad districts
- Nitin H P’s 4 inscriptions in Kodagu/Coorg and Mandya districts
- Research on Jainism conducted in Kodagu district after 2 decades
Pure Soul: The Jaina Spiritual Traditions – Exhibition
- Nitin’s selected photographs and videos have been handpicked and is showcased at the “Pure Soul: The Jaina Spiritual Traditions” exhibition
- Taking place from 14th April to 24th June 2023
- Held at the renowned SOAS, University of London, UK

North Karnataka’s Jain Heritage Exploration Journey
- A journey through the Jain Heritage sites in Badami, Aihole, Pattadakal, Lakkundi, Koppal, Hampi, and Anegundi
- Organized by the Department of Jainology, Madras University, Chennai, in April 2023
- Nitin was a resource person in this explorative journey
Field expedition in pursuit of Jain Heritage
- Visited 69 remarkable Jain sites spread across three different Indian states
- Karnataka – Mandya (1 site), Hassan (2 sites), Mysuru (10 sites), Bellary (2 sites) Koppala (1 site), Bagalkote (3 sites), Bellary (2 sites), Shivamogga (2 sites), Chamarajanagar (10 sites) and Kodagu (20 plus sites) districts
- Tamil Nadu – 3 sites near Madurai (Samanarmalai & Thiruparankundram), visited Melakidharam, Kalagumalai, & Chitral
- Kerala – Explored Wayanad region and visited 12 awe-inspiring Jain sites
Documentary on Nitin’s Jain Heritage Journey
- Wipro Ltd., as part of its ‘Ambitions Realized’ brand campaign, produced a
documentary about Nitin HP’s Jain heritage Journey - Nitin is one among the only 3 Wiproites 258,000 employees from 66
countries worldwide featured on the documentary series - This is the 1st ever Jain documentary produced by a corporate enterprise
Revitalization of Makodu Jain Temple
- In October 2013, team JHC visited the ancient Sri Parshwanath Swamy temple, Makodu, Periyapatna Taluk, Mysuru District, Karnataka
- Team JHC motivated the Jain community to venture towards its renovation
- Guidance – His Hoiness SwastiSri Bhuvanakeerthi Bhattarakha Swamiji, Kanakagiri Jain Math; Dr. D.Veerendra Hegadeji of Dharmasthala and Sri N Prasanna Kumar of Mysuru
- The renovation work was undertaken and successfully completed
- PanchaKalyana Mahotsava scheduled on the 27th and 28th May 2023
- Nitin H P from JHC published two unknown Jain inscriptions from this temple that helped trace its origins back to the 12th century
Meeting with Archaeological Survey of India (ASI)
- Team JHC engaged in meetings & discussions with ASI officials, New Delhi
- The discussions revolved around diverse topics including Jain History, Heritage, Epigraphy, and the Conservation of Jain Monuments
