History – Though there are no Jain temples at Bhuvaneshwar, the government museum here is worth seeing. We can see many Jain idols of the 7th and 8th century made out of stone and metal here at the government museum. The Jain idols here depict that Orissa was once a great centre of Jainism and give the clues of the existance of Jainism in Orissa. Some of the idols worth noting to see in the museum are the stone idols of Bhagwan Adinatha and Vardhamana Mahaveera and the metal idols of Bhagwan Adinatha and Chandraprabha Tirthankara.
